Every drawing in this book started as a feeling I couldn’t say out loud. These pages are where I tell you about them — where they came from, and what they asked of me.
Read slowly. Let whatever rises, rise.

story one
The night the sphere caught fire

It began with one small flower in the middle of the dark. I kept drawing petals around it, and colours kept arriving that I hadn’t planned — rose, then gold, then violet.
When the little world was full, I drew a fuse on top and lit it. Then I wrote around it: je laisse exploser l’amour et la joie.

story two
Footsteps toward the light

One side of the mind I drew as thought — winding, busy, outlined in white. The other I drew as weather, soft and moving, impossible to hold.
Between them, a path of tiny footsteps, red to violet, climbing to where the sun breaks over the summit. The eyes are closed. Not sleeping — listening.
story three
Chapter twenty-one

I drew a book about karma, open at pages 108 and 109. On them, a question: are we delving into the matter, or into the black hole?
Then I let the pages tear. Pieces drifted off into the stars, and through the holes came a river of blue light. Some chapters are not meant to be finished. Only dissolved.
